CARL National Conference: March 9, 2012

The CARL National Conference for 2012 has concluded!

Thank you to the more than 275 participants in CARL's national conference, whether by presenting, attending, or volunteering: we can all agree it was a smash success! Following the insightful and passionate presentations, CARL members were urged to take action and contact their MPs in order to oppose Bill C-31, using tools produced by the Canadian Council for Refugees, Amnesty International, and the Canadian Civil Liberties Organisation. CARL will also be taking part in a press conference organised by a coalition of groups on March 26 in Ottawa at 10:30 EST. Lastly, street theater is also be organised by the Canadian Civil Liberties Association, in Ottawa and all across the country. Suite aux excellentes présentations, les membres de l'ACAADR ont été incités à agir et à contacter leur député afin de s'opposer au projet de loi C-31, en utilisant les outils préparés par le Conseil canadien pour les réfugiés et Amnistie Internationale (lettre modèle et pétition en ligne):

L'ACAADR prendra aussi part à une conférence de presse le 26 mars prochain à Ottawa, à 10:30 heure de l'Est.
